Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Digital Media collaborates with various departments and staff to leverage the digital space to engage key constituent groups. The Assistant Director is responsible for staying current with best practices for designing captivating e-mails, developing strategy for electronic media, including social media channels, and critically analyzing response data to enhance communications with key constituents.

Responsible for capturing high-quality digital content and editing it into engaging stories that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Supervise and evaluate direct report personnel and coordinate training to enhance performance.

Manage social media coordinator and media specialist, serving as backup to both positions.

Create short videos and animations for dissemination across electronic media channels.

Manage and assist in developing content across owned and earned social channels, including blog posts, tweets, status updates, and videos.

Manage all building screens, update monthly birthday and anniversary screens, and post portal announcements.

Protect confidential information.

Attend events for photography or videography and assist in developing content across owned and earned social channels.

Create policy and procedures for email marketing platforms for both Alumni, Foundation and Division.

Monitor email schedules to ensure appropriate volume and prevent list fatigue.

Collaborate with departments and staff to leverage the digital and social media space; ensure all digital media channels are optimized to engage key constituent groups.

Regularly monitor the FSU Foundation, Division, and Alumni Association websites to ensure content is up to date.

Participate in goal setting and assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of appropriate styles, procedures, and protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years’ experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain.
