Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer based in our Los Angeles office to join our Visual Communications team and provide graphic support for our regional offices. Arup’s Americas region includes 16 offices and over 2,100 members, including offices in the United States, Canada, and Colombia. As part of our in-house Visual Communications team, you will have the opportunity to partner with designers, experts, and creatives across Arup, contributing to projects at all stages of design.

This role will require someone who understands and can communicate the value of a strong brand by championing its guidelines, templates, and systems and creating impactful designs to strengthen and support the brand. You'll work as a part of a close-knit team of designers, communications, and marketing professionals that collaborate with a large assortment of technical and business service partners.

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

Develop, design, and produce engaging graphics and promotional materials including infographics, presentations, brochures, reports, newsletters, interactive documents, event collateral, email and social media content, advertisements, and miscellaneous graphic deliverables.Meet, engage, and collaborate with marketing, technical, and business development teams to create graphics that will require conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.Serve as an ambassador to our staff on all matters related to brand and creative, including communicating the value of our brand by providing reviews, trainings, and resources for best practices to our members.Develop, manage, and collaborate on team projects and initiatives.Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of design experience in a professional or in-house environment.Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.Copy of your portfolio (site link or pdf) must be included with your submission package.Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.Enthusiasm for design, meticulous attention to detail, and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze and articulate design and review content for grammar and spelling.Excellent presentation skills and be comfortable presenting to teams and groups.An ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.A strong portfolio that demonstrates your visual communications skills including multipage document design, illustration, infographics, and branding.Preferred

Experience with Figma, Procreate, illustration, animation, video editing, web design, and/or photography is a plus.Experience with accessible document design a plus.Los Angeles Hiring Range

- The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is

$82,000

to

$107,000

per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.Benefits that Work
