At Arizona State University's Enterprise Technology, we are seeking a Multimedia Specialist who specializes in AI to join our Creative x Communications team. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-driven tools to develop engaging multimedia content, streamlining production processes, and enhancing collaboration. This role requires creativity, technical skills and proficiency in advanced tools to produce high-quality animations, videos and interactive media.
The Multimedia Specialist will utilize advanced AI tools to enhance all aspects of multimedia production, from concept development to final output. This role involves generating innovative ideas, creating detailed storyboards and developing engaging scripts with AI assistance. The specialist will also produce animations and motion graphics using AI-enhanced software, ensuring efficient and high-quality production. They will also integrate AI tools for sound design, quality assurance, and project management, continuously learning and adopting new AI technologies to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Essential Duties
Collaboration and multimedia project management:
Collaborate with project teams to develop and deploy multimedia elements that enhance human-centered stories through technology.
Serve as producer/director for various multimedia experiences, managing all aspects of production, post-production, and archiving.
Evaluate and select appropriate media materials and modify them as needed to achieve educational objectives.
Concept development:
Use AI brainstorming tools to generate innovative concepts and ideas that align with project goals and assist in creating detailed storyboards with AI tools to automate layout suggestions and visual flow.
Utilize AI-driven tools to generate, edit, and refine scripts for videos, podcasts, and other multimedia content, ensuring engaging and coherent storytelling, and use generative AI tools to create high-quality visual content, such as images, video clips, animations, and graphics, tailored to support Enterprise Technology’s storytelling and marketing initiatives.
Creation, design and illustration:
Design, create, edit and deliver engaging multimedia and web-based graphics, videos, sound elements and capturing photography that adhere to ASU brand standards.
Develop layout/template design concepts and select appropriate illustrative, photographic, and sound materials.
Apply AI tools to maintain a consistent visual style across all design elements, ensuring brand alignment.
Leverage AI tools to repurpose existing content into different formats, such as transforming written articles into videos or podcasts, maximizing content utility and reach.
Audio and visual technical production:
Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, Drupal web page design, and video/audio production, including media conversion, post-processing, and basic video shooting setups.
Operate video editing products, including AI-powered editing software, to automate routine tasks, such as trimming, color correction and adding transitions to enhance production efficiency.
Coordinate and perform technical duties in producing videos, broadcasts, podcasts, streaming and other productions, ensuring seamless image and sound sequencing.
Utilize AI tools for automated refinement, error detection, sound design integration and thorough quality checks in animations, ensuring smooth transitions, realistic movements and compliance with technical specifications and project standards.
Employ AI for image and video analysis to identify key moments, objects, and themes, aiding in selecting and organizing multimedia assets.
Implement AI analytics tools to analyze audience engagement and feedback, using insights to optimize future content creation and distribution strategies.
AI-enhanced animation production:
Leverage AI-powered tools to streamline the creation of character movements, scene transitions, and special effects. Utilize AI-based software for efficient 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, and animation.
Employ AI tools to automate motion graphics development, including animated titles, lower thirds, and kinetic typography.
Technology integration and collaboration:
Support in-person operations of studios, maintaining and troubleshooting multimedia studio technologies.
Stay informed on the latest multimedia tools and trends to provide innovative ideas and recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Media Communications, Film or Video Production, Design, or Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or a closely related field AND two years of progressive experience GRAPHICS (Proficiency) Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator - or - VIDEO (Proficiency) video/audio production. OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking.
Primary location is at our Tempe Campus 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Hybrid schedule as determined by supervisor and within ASU/Enterprise Technology guidelines.
May include exposure to external environment/climate conditions including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing and high temperatures.
VIDEO: Essential duties may also require location work which may occur in adverse weather conditions.
Locations may be interior/exterior in perhaps rugged conditions.
Fragile electronic equipment must be transported both manually and with the assistance of portage devices.
Operation of video and photographic equipment may be handheld for extended periods.
