Job Title: Technical Artist
Our client's team is seeking a talented Technical Artist to develop and implement cutting-edge 3D content and systems in a fast-paced research and development environment. The ideal candidate will be a 3D generalist with experience in modeling for offline and/or real-time environments, synthetic data, procedural systems, machine learning, and outsourced content. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to plan and develop various content is essential. This role requires an understanding of content workflow challenges as well as pushing visual technical boundaries.Requirements
• 5+ years of AAA video game, feature film, or VFX experience• Proficiency in multiple content applications like Maya, 3DS Max, Substance, Houdini or others• General knowledge of off-line rendering pipelines (VRay), and real-time engines• Proficient in automated and manual asset conversion (meshes, materials)• Familiarity with physically-based rendering techniques, camera setup, lighting techniques• Able to deliver high-quality visuals within performance/time constraints• Familiarity with Python/PyMEL or MaxScript or C/C++ programming languages
Description:Leverage your experience to help us deliver a next-generation product. As a Technical Artist on the team you will work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to provide synthetic data for the development of innovative computer vision and machine learning algorithms. You will closely collaborate with the synthetic data team to build software solutions for a next-generation of products.
Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Arts or similar, with at least 3+ years of industry experience
Additional Experience:
• Extremely detail-oriented with a focus on naming conventions, asset requirements, efficient and high-quality work• Able to identify opportunities for visual, workflow, and efficiency improvements• Able to work quickly and flexibly in a prototyping environment• Desire to procedurally generate content without sacrificing artistic integrity
