Job Description:

This position provides communications leadership in the Corporate Affairs functional area. It is primarily engaged in management of activities within the internal communications department. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees. Reports to the Director of Internal Communications.

Scope

The Senior Manager, Communications leads the development and implementation of strategic internal communication activities for corporate Fluor in support of business objectives and strategies. The job involves extensive writing for senior leadership and project management. The position will also be responsible for supporting content development and management of specific global communications campaigns with an emphasis on supporting executive communications.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

•Responsible for communications for corporate internal communications.

•Work closely with management, business lines and functional departments to develop and implement communication programs, procedures and initiatives.

•Has editorial oversight for internal communication content for senior leaders and other assigned communications, including but not limited to, articles, publications, talking points, scripts, speeches, videos, presentations and other supporting materials.

•Facilitate collaboration among communications team members (direct and matrixed) for synergy in messaging and communications programs.

•Oversee tracking and reporting on metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of communication programs and drive continuous improvement.

•Stay current on communications best practices/trends and integrate into communications programs.

•Manage and guide the strategic direction of the global network to support the company’s business strategy.

•Ensure all internal communications properly meet Fluor brand requirements.

•Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.

•Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical time deadlines.

•Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and global standards.

•Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

•Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.

•May need to travel to attend to business related matters.

•Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.

•Other duties as assigned.
