is seeking a UX Designer with a Secret clearance to support

KDS

and our government customer.

This is a Remote opportunity.

Essential Job Functions:

Serve as a subject matter expert for UX design on government digital projects

Create and optimize user workflows, interfaces, and processes into an intuitive/delightful user experience using the tools necessary to get the job done (e.g. low fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, wireframes, personas, user stories, storyboards, etc.)

Work closely with software delivery teams to build world-class experiences

Brainstorm and ideate with clients and customers to explore possibilities

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

3–5 years of relevant practical experience in UX design, information architecture, and/or user experience and research

Self-starter with strong communication, listening, and conceptual skills

Experience leading design within a project and interfacing directly with clients

Experience mentoring junior resources and growing UX and experience skills within your team to become more cross-functional

Comfortable taking on potentially unfamiliar problems with unfamiliar technologies

Experience with Sketch, Invision, Adobe Design Suite, and Microsoft PowerPoint

Secret Clearance required.

Good to Have - But Not Required:

This helps differentiate between two or more good candidates.

Experience with low-code platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, ServiceNow

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
