Write and develop all media content to be used for promotion, development, and fundraising of CVL. Become an expert on all aspects of the organization and its personnel. Maintain relationships with counterparts in outside organizations, and work collegially with other university departments to leverage the greatest possible value in terms of promoting the Center. In collaboration with the Director of Development, represent CVL to the media, visitors, donors, and others, including requests for information. Manage and oversee the production of routine publications, podcast series, colloquium series, and other special events. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree; five years experience in marketing communications and advertising; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Education and ExperienceEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide compelling and creative content for the Center for Vital Longevity’s (CVL) internal and external web and print communications to include web, brochures, ads, fact sheets, magazine, annual report, newsletters, email communications, posters, social media, and event collateral. Create public relations and marketing opportunities in all communications areas. Focus on bringing positive attention to the Center, its faculty, and researchers. Keep branding and presentation of CVL consistent with institutional guidelines. Establish collaborative relationships with the Office of Communications and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.Physical Demands and Working ConditionsHybrid remote work may be available at the supervisor’s discretion after six months of continuous employment. Remote work schedule at CVL is 3 days in office/2 days remote. Employees must be flexible and adjust this schedule as needed with a 24-hour notice.
