Hiring: Technical Director Woodstock Film Festival (Hudson Valley, NY) The Woodstock Film Festival is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, well-organized Technical Director for the 25th Annual Woodstock Film Festival taking place Tuesday, October 15 – Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Woodstock, NY, and surrounding towns.

Fully on-site requirements begin Sunday, October 13, through Tuesday, October 22, 2024.OVERALL DUTIES INCLUDE:Coordinate and confirm what gear is needed for various venues.Coordinate equipment deliveries, track all orders with a list per venue of needs.Tech staff recruitment and hiring, with assistance from Tech Consultant and WFF staff.Tech (including projectionist) placement and scheduling.Ensuring all venues are set up technically.Meet with other Dept Heads and lead production meetings.Site visits as needed.Work closely with Awards Producer and team to ensure all technical needs are met.Ensure all in-venue music events needs are met.Communicate with the Print Traffic Coordinator with any technical questions.Participate in Department Head Meetings leading up to the festival.SKILLS TO POSSESS:Understanding of projection systems, sound systems, lighting, and other technical equipment.Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot technical equipment to ensure all venues are properly equipped and operational.Strong ability to coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery and setup of equipment.Expertise in creating and managing schedules for technical staff and ensuring proper coverage for all events.Attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability, effective problem-solving, and team leadership.Strong communication abilities to liaise with department heads and technical staff.Experience in film festivals is a plus.Compensation for hourly off-site coordination and scouting; and day rate compensation for on-site event days. Housing during production week can be provided to the right candidate.
