CARA's global healthcare client seeks a

locally based

part-time

instructional designer for a

nine (9) month

engagement. This is a

hybrid

contract at

20 hours per week

with

onsite 1-2 days per week

in Pleasanton, CA.

As an Instructional Designer, you will use instructional design principles and processes to support the Medical Device business's internal and external learning programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instructional Design:

Design learning solutions with engaging exercises and activities to support classroom and virtual learning.

Create adaptable design of highly technical material for use in classrooms, on-demand, and in a hospital setting.

Design assessments such as tests and quizzes to measure the effectiveness of the courses.

Development:

Develop blended solutions using iSpring Suite, PowerPoint, and Articulate Rise.

Reference and cite resources including scientific publications.

Edit images, audio, and videos using Adobe Creative Suite.

Develop assessments and exams for distribution in an LMS for live and on-demand environments (iSpring, Quizmaker).

LMS Administration:

Publish and test SCORM files in iSpring Learn LMS.

Manage content settings and availability with iSpring Learn LMS.

Project Management, Support, Maintenance:

Document deliverable progress and estimate completions with a project management worksheet.

Manage system architecture of curricula, content, and users (people assignments).

Support ongoing curricula cohort enrollments and assignments.

Provide ongoing LMS reporting (custom when needed).

Qualifications:

Experience working within an instructional design capacity to design and develop learning solutions to support classroom and virtual learning.

Expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.

Experience designing highly technical content for use in classrooms, on-demand, and within a hospital setting.

3-5 years of consulting experience.

Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably medical device or healthcare.

eLearning development experience with iSpring Suite and Articulate Rise. Familiarity with Brainshark a plus.

Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.

Highly organized, capable of managing project status on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships.

Exceptional skills in prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working to achieve them.

Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-learner.

Excellent ability to communicate with project team members, stakeholders, SMEs, and leadership to establish relationships and manage expectations.

Capable of writing clear, concise communications.

Ability to translate technical content into user-centric language.

Duration:

nine (9) months, 20 hours per week

Location:

hybrid, 1-2 days per week onsite in Pleasanton, CA.

Compensation:

$65/hr

Qualification for candidates that meet the requirements includes a recruiter interview, technical interview (with a review of work samples), reference, and background check.
