Marketing Lead

is responsible for influencing increased energy savings through the design, development, and execution of the strategic marketing plan to support service delivery programs. The Marketing Lead actively engages with subject matter experts internally and externally to ensure program marketing is based on a customer-first perspective and leverages strategies across all customer touchpoints.The job requires the incumbent to be a strategic marketing leader, self-motivated and detail-orientated with effective project management skills to complete projects on time and within budget. This person must have the ability to put the customer at the center of all strategies and be highly data-driven. In addition, the role involves using innovative ideas to generate creative marketing strategies, initiatives, and programs. This job will entail supporting or persuading others on a specific approach using customer insights and data and outlining expected outcomes. The job will involve direct oversight of one or more team members.Responsible for working with direct reports to ensure they are provided with growth opportunities that maximize their performance and engagement; ensure they have annual measurable targets and goals in place and expectations/priorities are communicated.Responsible for developing comprehensive strategic marketing plans and overseeing the execution, budgets, and actions to achieve energy savings targets.Responsible for reporting on campaign success, emphasizing conversion rates, target audience engagement, and overall program participation for SME programs.Leverage analytics and insights to understand customer and market trends and incorporate them into marketing strategies.Responsible for ensuring marketing content is aligned with program objectives and educates internal and external stakeholders on program offerings.Responsible for collaborating with and communicating annual and ongoing strategic business marketing plans to external agencies and internal stakeholders.Brand stewardship – ensuring the ENS brand is represented accurately across the customer experience in all customer touchpoints.Responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts across the organization to develop and maintain a portfolio of integrated marketing materials for programs based on strategic market planning.Perform any other duties as required from time to time.What Will Help You Succeed?University degree in marketing or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.A minimum of 7 years of strategic marketing experience, including the development and implementation of marketing plans.At least 3 years of managing direct reports in a leadership role with experience with performance reviews, goal setting, and demonstrated leadership skills.Capable of analyzing data and translating insights into actionable strategies.Proven marketing planning and execution that has produced tangible results.Strong project management and ability to manage and deliver concurrent projects.Demonstrated leadership experience by effectively guiding cross-functional teams (internal and external) to develop marketing strategies.Product or Brand Management experience.Proficient with all Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent client service skills (internal partners and customers), including the ability to work collaboratively or independently.Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, take initiative, handle multiple tasks, and work to a high standard in an environment with tight timelines/deadlines.What to expect in the first couple of months:In the first week, expect to:Meet the marketing team, go through the training and onboarding process by meeting with other departments, learning about Efficiency Nova Scotia.Meet our agency partners and get familiar with current brands and campaigns.Training on software – Basecamp, SharePoint, Fresh Ticket.Training and time to read marketing plan and work plan.To familiarize yourself with Efficiency Nova Scotia, read program materials, company information (SharePoint materials), and past Annual Reports.In the first month, expect to:Be assigned projects with the goal of getting familiar with programs, campaigns, and marketing plans.Participate in weekly marketing team huddles and review the work plan.Job shadows other teammates to learn about their roles and responsibilities.Work with agency partners and execute marketing plan campaigns and projects.Work closely with Program Managers to learn the program and projects.In the first three months, expect to:Perform core duties independently.Participate in team meetings and agency partner meetings.Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop key marketing strategies.Managing budget forecasts and approving invoices.Producing reports of completed projects, and upcoming projects including creative snapshots, timelines, and results.Work with your manager to develop individual learning/development goals.
