is looking for an

Expert Outsource Artist

to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will have a foundational role in creating a world-class pipeline that allows outside vendors to collaborate with internal teams, review work for quality, and grow your team over time.Daily ResponsibilitiesPlanning a robust OS pipeline from the ground up - workflows, software solutions, etc.Working with Directors and leads to create an OS strategy.Work with direct reports on goal setting, career development, and performance.Collaborate with our procurement staff in finding and vetting OS partners.Hiring a team of experienced OS artists.Training of vendors in our workflows and performance standards.Providing artistic and technical feedback to external partners via documentation and direct communication.Integrating approved assets into the game engine as necessary.Modeling and texturing assets which fit the established style of the game.Setting up materials and shaders to achieve the best possible quality.Reviewing briefs from internal teams to ensure they meet the needs of vendors.Cooperating effectively with other artists and designers and ensuring good practices within internal and external teams.Providing the team with clear and transparent progress status regarding the ongoing workflow.Maintaining the production pipeline and meeting deadlines.QualificationsAt least 8 years of experience working in the video game industry as an Outsourcer and at least one shipped AAA title.Proficiency with modern, standard development packages.Good knowledge of composition, color theory, and lighting.Basic knowledge of physically based rendering (PBR).Experience with procedural content creation packages (Substance, Houdini) is a plus.Solid portfolio demonstrating expertise.An excellent eye for detail.Able to deliver and receive feedback in a productive and accountable manner.Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Avid and passionate gamer.Additional InformationThis job requires working in Boston, US.
