A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.The Director of Quality and Care Model Design is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of Central Health's clinical quality program and care model transformation initiatives. This includes developing a comprehensive quality improvement plan, overseeing quality metrics and reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading initiatives to advance the organization's care model to improve patient outcomes through a framework of continuous improvement and the application of Lean principles.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:

Coordinates all aspects of Central Health's Quality Improvement Program with the vision of providing the highest level of quality care and patient experience.

Manages the quality program under a transformation framework, which is anchored in Lean Thinking.

Utilizes Lean methodology, change management techniques, and project management tools to plan, develop, execute, and sustain effective improvement of critical processes and systems.

Develops and shares best practices for improving performance in quality, safety, perception of care, value, and efficiency.

Advances data analytics with experience developing applicable statistical, financial, and business plans and models utilizing advanced computer applications for benchmarking, productivity, statistical analysis, and decision support.

Demonstrates an exceptional ability to listen without bias, think critically to discern the key salient points and focus on the tasks that will move the initiative towards its goals.

Willingness to challenge the status quo to ensure the Lean principles are implemented; able to understand the organizational change strategy and articulate this to audiences.

In collaboration with health center leadership, assists in the development and implementation of the Central Health Quality Improvement Plan in accordance with standards set forth by regulatory agencies including but not limited to:

HRSA

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

NCQA

Leads multiple projects simultaneously, strategically selected to improve processes and systems to most effectively meet the needs of our patients.Demonstrates exceptional change management, teaching, coaching, and implementation skills, following standardized Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, both personally and in leading a group.Builds value-added relationships and fosters change management.Facilitates teams and manages change, while managing skeptics across the organization.Utilizes excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for bridging the gap between clinical and business participants.Facilitates improvement teams including pre-planning, execution, and follow-up of improvement activities.Works collaboratively with team leaders and administrative staff to maintain momentum, track progress, ensure measurable outcomes, and manage conflict for effective teamwork.Leads team meetings to set strategies, update project progress, and resolve outstanding issues to drive results.Teaches teams and individuals Lean principles and coaches them how to apply to problem solving at their appropriate level.Supervises and manages the process improvement initiatives and individuals within the quality space.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation:

Master's Degree in healthcare or related field.

Work Experience:

Five years of experience in quality improvement, healthcare operations, and developing/implementing quality programs.

Licenses and Certifications:

Lean Certification required.

Clinical licensure in a health-related field (e.g., RN, BSN) required.
