User Experience Research & Designer

to join our

Finance

team in

Cypress, CA . The User Experience Research & Designer will be responsible for conducting research studies and gathering data on user behavior, attitudes, and preferences to inform an iterative design process. They will collaborate with business analysts, designers, product and/or program managers and developers to identify and articulate end-user requirements, create meaningful user stories, and target solutions that meet the underlying needs of our users. They will also be heavily involved in the development and maintenance of global digital experience standards and design language.

Do you have the skills to fill this role Read the complete details below, and make your application today.What you’ll be doing:Create/execute research and testing plans that define objectives, hypotheses, and assumptions to build understanding and empathy, remove ambiguity and increase alignment.Collaborate with business analysts, designers, product and/or program managers and developers to identify and articulate end-user requirements, create meaningful user stories, and target solutions that meet the underlying needs of users.Communicate research findings through regular updates, persuasive and compelling written reports, and group presentations.Build and facilitate ideation workshops to identify and address business needs and core objectives of digital platforms.Create/maintain a repository to provide team members and stakeholders with research context, insights, perspectives, and recommendations.Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues.Experience in user interface design and/or development, understanding of responsive design, experience with prototyping tools like Figma.Experience in banking, financial services, or captive lending industry is a plus.Experience at a global organization with stakeholders spread across different time zones and working schedules.Experience with localization, multi-language support, international character sets.Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders.Strong organizational skills and balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects.

What you’ll need to be successful:Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Three years' experience working in one or more of the following fields: user research, user interface design, information technology, or a related field.Prior experience conducting UX research and testing.Demonstrated experience presenting technical topics in a business-oriented fashion to non-technical audiences.

Pay:$76,270 to $134,240

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha’s Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
