Across the globe, we’re 120,000 colleagues, striving to make a difference for every client, organization, and community we serve.Job Summary:The Marketing Officer is responsible for: 1) Acting as a junior account officer/marketing officer for Japanese Corporates in Chicago/Midwest and Dallas offices in JCB for the Americas. 2) Maintaining and servicing existing portfolio including KYC operations as the First Line of Defense. 3) Proactively identifying transaction opportunities and marketing products to clients. 4) Acting as a liaison between all stakeholders within the bank including the Primary Office in Japan. 5) Developing banking business with existing and new customers. This position will generate revenue by managing business development opportunities and overseeing client portfolio performance.Major Responsibilities:Develop new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial loans while maintaining the existing portfolio.Face customers to maintain relationships, understand their business, and develop new business.Negotiate terms and conditions for maximizing profitability while minimizing risk.Lead preparation of lending proposals and pitches to prospective clients.Act as a liaison between JCB and Product Offices to develop new business.Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.Coordinate other key initiatives and projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience required. MBA / CFA preferred.Minimum 2 years of professional experience; banking experience in U.S. and international marketplace required.Strong interpersonal skills and financial aptitude.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of domestic and foreign financial markets and products.Fluency in Japanese and English at a business level.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.The typical base pay range for this role is between $66K – $85K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
