Match Group has adopted an industry-leading approach to safety by design across its portfolio of apps and services, working proactively to identify potential user risks associated with new features, and identifying win-win solutions to manage those risks at scale.This position will report to the VP - Trust & Safety. Our Trust & Safety teams are based in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, but we are open to considering a remote office for highly qualified candidates. This position will require domestic and international travel.How you'll make an impact:

Lead a team of product specialists responsible for implementing safety by design practices across the Match Group portfolio by setting strategic priorities, OKRs, deadlines, and work assignments for your teamDevelop repeatable, scalable methodologies and procedures for conducting new feature risk assessments and evaluating the likelihood and severity of possible risks to user safety, privacy, and autonomyBuild strong partnerships with product managers and owners across the Match Group portfolio to stay informed about new feature developments, communicate trust and safety advice, and collaborate to identify win-win solutions to identified SBD risksOversee and manage tooling readiness for new feature launches, including ensuring that central T&S operations teams have the necessary tools to support their work before new features are launched (and that potential tooling deficiencies are appropriately identified, tracked, and escalated)Socialize a comprehensive, portfolio-wide new feature launch tracker for major feature launches to ensure executive-level visibility into key product developments and associated risksMaintain a comprehensive internal repository and taxonomy of product safety features implemented by MG brands to facilitate portfolio-wide sharing of best practicesImplement and report on industry-wide best practices and frameworks for evaluating product safety (e.g. the Digital Trust & Safety Partnership Safer assessment) across the MG portfolioServe as an internal champion for safety by design approaches across Match Group, including by conducting training sessions, circulating resources and best practices, and partnering with SBD “champions” at the brand levelHelp represent Match Group on product safety matters with external stakeholders, including with industry groups, at conferences, and (as appropriate) with regulators and pressWe could be a match if:

You have 7+ years of experience working on trust and safety issues (or related fields, such as privacy and cybersecurity), including 2+ years as a people managerYou’re passionate about and experienced with tech safety, authenticity, and integrity issues, and love to think creatively about how to anticipate and prevent harmful misuse of technologyYou’re familiar with safety-by-design, privacy-by-design, and/or security-by-design methodologies, and have real-world experience integrating these approaches into product developmentYou’re a strong communicator and collaborator, and know how to influence others and drive strategy without explicit organizational authorityYou have excellent problem solving, analytical, and presentation skills, with an exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize in a highly dynamic environmentYou are a true team player with deep empathy for user experience and a continuous growth mindset$218,000 - $236,000 a yearThe compensation range listed above is representative of the base salary offered. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City.
