You have a keen ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects across the agency, partnering with both internal and external stakeholders. You provide leadership in the development of strategic plans that will grow client business and generate revenue and are extremely knowledgeable in earned-first strategy. This Account Director will work in a hyper-growth and scale environment across an exciting, award-winning portfolio brand in the personal care/beauty industry. This is a hybrid role in New York, NY.What You'll DoLead and collaborate with PR, Social, Influence, Creative, and Production teams and consistently ensure the work and deliverables are earned-firstServe as the leading agency partner for the client portfolio and effectively negotiate & drive scopes of workContinuously inform and influence client decisionsResponsible for overall client satisfaction always hunting for solutions and innovative ideasHelp lead cross-functional teams inclusive of PR, Social, Influence, Creative, Production, Strategy to deliver impactful campaign workIntegrate solutions and identify new business opportunities as the client’s trusted leading partnerBuild strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partnersProvides counsel and executes media and advocacy relations activities and has workingknowledge of media, influencers, advocates and their needsDevelop and direct new business programs, including closely coordinating with the senior leaders and participating in the new business process from start to finishMaintain and grow existing accounts, establishing relationships with key client contacts and ensuring that client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over timePowerful communicator, able to engender trust across all levelsDemonstrate responsibility and accountability for agency performance and flawless deliveryAct as an open resource to the team, assessing ideas and encouraging people to push furtherMonitor and communicate POV on current marketing and industry issuesEffectively manage teams – coaching and inspiring the growth and development of junior staff providing consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunitiesWhat You'll Need7-8+ years of PR agency and client-facing experience including 2-3 years managing a teamAbility to shift, flex, and be as agile as needed – lead clients in a multitude of accounts in a quick, fast environmentNatural leader to drive business, client relationships, and internal team deliverablesStrong communication and excellent interpersonal skillsBackground in media training, executive visibility, thought leadership, corporate reputation, crisis communications, and/or media relationsExperience in beauty, makeup, personal care, skincare, wellness is strongly preferredExperience delivering communication strategies and creative across channelsCommitment to ensuring creative excellence and outputPassionate about great work, your team and our businessA good listener – someone who reads people and a room (and adapts their style accordingly)Strong background in the strategy and development of PR programs and provide strategic/solid thinking to clientsNatural and effective collaborator, insatiably curious, a lifelong learnerStrong business abilities and financial acumen to deliver work on time and on budgetAn understanding of the dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to the client’s businessHow We'll Support YouOgilvy celebrates its people. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
