To help us fulfill this mission, we are seeking a competent, curious, resourceful, and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to support our product and tech branch to develop new insights into product and internal tools and improve both external and internal customer experience.As a Business Intelligence Engineer on the team, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, product management, and marketing to drive strategic decisions with data and set up reporting capabilities for our international video streaming service.Key job responsibilities- Establish goals, plans, and related metrics; track progress; and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives- Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.- Define the structure of our reporting mechanisms and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate and communicate organizationally on the progress against goals- Utilize database and reporting technologies, including SQL, ETL, Redshift, Tableau etc. to design and develop impactful analyses and reporting.- Manage and execute the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.About the teamWe are the Commerce team, a sub team of the Product Analytics team. We are passionate about identifying ways to improve the customer experience and leverage our expertise in payments, page navigation, and new user experience to help design a better, more compelling, frustration-free product for all customers.Basic Qualifications- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelinesPreferred Qualifications- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
