The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, who doesn’t settle for anything less than the best, to meet the needs of the consumer and athlete.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONIn Jordan Streetwear, Women’s Footwear, you will work under the direction of the Women’s Footwear Design Director to create original product designs and refresh existing icons. In your day to day, you will engage with project teammates on researching, gaining insights, problem solving around style, performance, and manufacturing, working with consumers or athletes, and creating a vast range of creative and beautiful solutions, that are also considerate of cost. With each project, you are expected to also participate and present the work in informal and formal reviews.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHIf this is you, you’ll be working hand in hand with the Jordan Streetwear design community (product design, color design, materials design, graphic design, apparel design, 3D design) and partnering closely across functional relationships with our Product Line Management, Merchandising and Technical Development and Engineering teams to bring new footwear designs to life.WHAT YOU BRING+ Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or relevant education, experience, and training+ Preferred design experience: 1-4 years+ Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience+ Passion for the intersection of sport, streetwear, and women’s fashion+ Previous footwear design experience preferred+ Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills+ Must be able to create accurate 2D technical drawings+ Strong ability to visually communicate design intent (sketching, illustration, rendering, or making)+ Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials+ Must be able to generate a range of concepts and solutions for each project+ Experience with prototyping and cobbling a plus+ Experience with 3D design a plus+ Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, Acrobat, Powerpoint, etc+ Positive personality and energy+ Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviorsNIKE, Inc. is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
