Oversee all aspects of UX design, including user research, customer journey mapping, and interaction design across the entire digital ecosystem. Drive innovation through data-driven insights, design thinking methodologies, and emerging technologies to create seamless, user-centric experiences that align with business objectives. Champion user-centric design throughout the organization, driving innovation and business growth by delivering digital experiences that empower customers and set US Foods apart in the competitive food service distribution industry.**Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Sr Dir, UX Design position is completely 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.****RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Define and champion the overarching UX vision and strategy for US Foods' digital commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration with broader business objectives and technological capabilities.+ Lead and develop a large, multi-disciplinary UX organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.+ Spearhead customer journey mapping and persona development efforts, ensuring a deep understanding of US Foods' diverse customer base across the entire service ecosystem.+ Drive strategic UX research initiatives to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and market opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies.+ Establish data-informed decision-making by overseeing analytics, A/B testing, and user behavior analysis to continually improve digital experiences.+ Collaborate with senior leadership and C-suite executives to integrate UX strategy into core business planning and digital transformation initiatives.+ Lead high-level stakeholder management, including presenting UX strategies to the board and executive leadership team to secure buy-in and resources for major initiatives.+ Foster partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners to enhance US Foods' UX capabilities and drive innovation.+ Represent US Foods as a thought leader in UX design at industry conferences, publications, and events.+ Other duties as assigned by manager.**SUPERVISION** :+ Directs a large UX organization of 20-30+ employees, including managers, senior designers, researchers, and specialists across multiple teams.**RELATIONSHIPS**+ **Internal** : Collaborates extensively with senior VPs and directors across Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. Influences company-wide digital strategy and customer experience initiatives.+ **External** : Builds strategic partnerships with external customers, major technology vendors, design agencies, and research firms. Represents US Foods at high-profile industry events and on advisory boards.**WORK ENVIRONMENT**+ **Remote** : This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**+ Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business Administration, or related field+ 10+ years of progressive experience in UX design and strategy, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles+ 7+ years of immersive experience in large complex eCommerce organizations+ Proven track record of leading UX transformation at enterprise scale for B2B or e-commerce organizations at Fortune 500 companies with $30B+ revenue+ 5+ years of experience managing teams of 5+ direct reports+ Extensive experience in developing and implementing UX strategies that drive measurable business impact+ Strong business acumen with the ability to align UX initiatives with overall company strategy and financial goals+ Excellence in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence C-level executives and board members+ Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on user experience+ 10% travel required for leadership meetings, client engagements, and industry events.**EDUCATION**+ Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business Administration, or related field+ Master's degree or MBA or other advanced degree preferred.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**+ Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field+ Proven success in leading UX for digital transformation initiatives in Fortune 500 companies+ Experience in the food service distribution industry or related B2B sectors+ Published author or recognized speaker on UX strategy and digital innovation+ Experience with AI/ML integration in UX design and predictive user behavior modeling+ Track record of successful M&A integration from a UX perspectiveThe following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $149,900 and $199,900. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $132,600 and $176,900. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $157,800 and $210,400. In Connecticut, the expected compensation for this role is between $157,800 and $210,400. In Maryland, the expected compensation for this role is between $141,800 - $189,000. In Minnesota, the expected compensation for this role is between $132,600 - $176,900. In Rhode Island, the expected compensation for this role is between $141,800 - $189,000.In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $149,900 and $199,900. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
