DescriptionAs a Principal Applied Scientist with Prime Video, you will be a senior thought leader in the group who finds new ways of applying state of art computer vision and language research to understand and manipulate video centric digital media - creating delightful outcomes for our customers. You will be responsible for creating a strong environment for applied science in order to recruit, retain and develop top talent. You will identify research directions, create roadmaps for forward-looking research and influence senior leadership on long-range investments in science.Basic QualificationsPhD in deep learning or a related field with minimum 7+ years of industry experience.Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.Fluency in a high-level modeling language such as R, Python, Matlab or other statistical software.Knowledge and experience with foundation models.Expertise in Video processing, language translations, and NLU algorithmsPreferred QualificationsPhD in deep learning or a related field with minimum 10+ years of industry experience.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $179,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $309,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
