We’re working hard, having fun, and making history!As a Sr. Manager - Product Management Technical, you will be accountable for the Amazon Echo roadmap. You will own defining and delivering the next-generation of Echo devices in the home.This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features and products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon.com.A successful candidate will be a big thinker, empathetic leader, results oriented, and highly analytical. This candidate will be able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and experiences that customers love.Key Responsibilities:- Set the vision and strategy for Amazon Echo. Define, build, and launch next-generation of Echo devices- Hire and develop a bar-raising team of product managers- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners- Define use cases, requirements, and prioritization for Echo device capabilities. Work with partner teams to deliver new and creative Alexa experiences through devices- Learn and be curious about technology roadmap that can shape the future of devices- Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load- Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market- Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team membersBasic Qualifications- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience- Bachelor's degree- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience with end to end product delivery- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product- Experience technical product managementPreferred Qualifications- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvementAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
