Position Summary:The Audio-Visual Technician temporary role is responsible for providing technical support and assistance with the maintenance, and operation of the College’s classroom and meeting room audiovisual equipment. They will produce and maintain client-friendly documentation for the AV classroom and meeting spaces, and utilize various management tools to monitor the environment, and ensure room functionality. This is a temporary twelve-week position.Position Responsibilities:+ Basic understanding of audio/video terminology, commonly used AV components, signal flow and routing, and installation techniques.+ Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 technical issues related to AV systems.+ Provide technical support to faculty, staff and students as required.+ Utilize and develop a familiarity with software applications including Extron Global Viewer.+ Conduct regular maintenance checks on AV systems to ensure proper functionality.+ Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance history and issues reported.+ Provide basic training and support to faculty, staff, and students on the use of AV equipment.+ Lift up to 35 lbs. and move equipment as needed.+ Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful College community. Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the College. Promote a flexible, collaborative and inclusive work and living environment and engage in educational opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion.Position Qualifications:Associate's degree and a minimum of 1 year of previous audio/video/computer environment experience in hardware and software installation, diagnosis and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience. General understanding of audio-visual fundamentals and best practices. Must have good attention to detail, written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated professionalism, judiciousness, diplomacy, and sensitivity to the needs of clients.Application Instructions:Interested applicants must apply online and attach a resume, cover letter, and list of three professional references.
