**Description:** Writes, in clear and concise language, technical documents such as procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment\. These technical documents also include operational specifications, bulletins, articles, and marketing publications\. Acquires or verifies knowledge of subject by interviewing workers engaged in developing new products and services or in making improvements, observing performance of experiments and methods of production, referring to blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and notes, trade and engineering journals, rewrites of articles, bulletins, manuals, or similar publications\.Specific Job Description:Candidate will be a member of a team of Technical Publications team that provides a wide array of technical documentation written to Military Specifications\. Primary responsibilities include developing change packages for US Air Force Technical Orders \(TOs\) and US Army Technical Manuals \(TMs\)\. Responsibilities also includes writing and editing repair procedures for all levels of maintenance\. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment\. The candidate must be flexible with outstanding work ethic and possess the ability to respond quickly and effectively to company and customer requests\. They will interface with Subject Matter Experts \(SMEs\) to verify and understand technical concepts and develop courses of action\(s\) that ensure project completion is on time and within budget\. The candidate must be familiar with the layout, design and structure of Organizational, Intermediate and Depot Level Technical Manuals \(TMs\)\. Sections within these manuals include Operation and Maintenance, Theory of Operation, Fault Isolation Procedures, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns \(IPBs\)\. The candidate must also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and software description documents\. The candidate must be willing to work overtime, as required\. Some travel may be required\.**Basic Qualifications:**\-Bachelors degree from an accredited college\.\-Have a working knowledge of MIL\-STD style guides MIL\-STD\-40051, MIL\-STD\-38784, or equivalent as demonstrated thru a work study or internship program or similar\.\-Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office products \(Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Sharepoint\)\.\-Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer\-established standards and conventions\.\-Ability to write technical content for maintenance technical manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures\.\-Ability to acquire and verify subject matter content by interviewing workers engaged in developing products, observing production methods, referring to engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications\.\-Ability to obtain a Gov't Security Clearance\.**Desired Skills:**\-Working knowledge of DoD specifications i\.e\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week**Pay Rate:**The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $45,200 \- $86,600 \.
