Using insights to create solutions for the future - in the here and now.**Job Overview**Position Schedule: Full-Time**The Design Strategy & Delivery team is seeking a Senior Design Lead and Business Design expert to lead cross-functional teams in the discovery, design, development, and delivery of innovative solutions for complex problems in strategic planning, process improvement, product design, and service delivery.** **You will become a core part of the Design team and work with talented teammates to define all aspects of end-to-end experiences and business strategy.**Business designers can design, shape, and adapt strategies - but a strategy is just one of the many ways strategic designers solve systemic business problems. There is no set process a business designer must follow, typically a business designer will customize the design process for the non-linear nature of complex business problems: the opportunity drives the process.Business designers usually have experience in other design fields before they move into business design. They are fluent in convergent technologies, social and ecological needs, and business. The business design process is similar to UX, product, and service design, but it's done on a bigger stage, at a different altitude, with more interaction with business leaders. It takes enterprise intelligence, executive presence, and understanding of organizational politics to make the tradeoffs necessary for a good strategy, and business designers must be skilled at changing hearts and minds through design mixed with data and viability rationale.**What you'll do...**+ Autonomously lead multidisciplinary teams through strategic frameworks and iterative delivery processes in pursuit of discovery and innovation to create experiences, services, business policies, strategy, and products.+ Effectively communicate strategic opportunities, align with firm strategy/goals, define business cases, and develop strategic roadmaps.+ Support teams in achieving clear problem statement definitions, defining big ideas and capabilities.+ Pressure-test ideas through design research, test and learn methodologies, and value evaluation for ROI.+ Lead alignment between design, business, and delivery workstreams to integrate business analytics, capabilities, and user and market research into the solutioning process.+ Quickly build trusting relationships and provide leader-level coaching, performance feedback, and guidance.+ Evaluate potential capabilities including change management, design thinking, process design, and project/program management.+ Lead the development or improvement of firm-wide experiences to change the way the firm creates, captures, and delivers value.At Edward Jones, we value and respect our associates and their contributions, and we recognize individual efforts through a rewards program that promotes a long-term career, financial security and well-being. The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:Hiring Minimum: $113810Hiring Maximum: $193785**Skills/Requirements****What you'll need...**+ Bachelor's degree in a field of Design, Science, or Engineering (or equivalent discipline e.g., Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Digital or Interactive Media, Communications, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Anthropology).+ 8+ years of progressive design experience.+ 1+ years of direct or indirect people leadership experience leading multidisciplinary design teams to advanced levels of collaboration preferred.+ Advanced skills in designing prototypes and using design tools.+ Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, building relationships at all levels of the organization, and effectively tailoring messaging and approach to multiple audiences.+ Ability to quickly engage and inspire a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and lead/contribute to multiple large-scale efforts concurrently.+ Expertise in design methodologies and systems thinking.+ Knowledge of and experimentation with emerging design trends and technology related to one's discipline.+ Change agility and comfort operating and flexing in ambiguity.+ Experience with DevOps methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) is strongly preferred.+ Experience in leading large enterprise-wide technology and/or strategic deployments is preferred.**What will set you apart...**+ Mastery in developing, prototyping, and validating sophisticated business models.+ Expertise in financial and market sizing models, with the ability to lead their development.+ Leadership in creating and presenting complex design visuals.+ Highly advanced systems thinking to oversee and connect experiences and business models.+ Advanced skills in problem identification, quantification, and measurement plan development.**Awards & Accolades**At Edward Jones, we are building a place where everyone feels like they belong.
