Work cross-functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales and Service.**In this position...**In this exciting role, you will make improvements on forward model programs that will directly impact our customers on a broad spectrum of Interior Systems such as IP/Consoles, Door Trims, & Interior Trim components by communicating to the larger program and engineering teams the voice of the customer in terms of error states from quality history sources and desired user experience and content related features and changes.**What you'll do...**+ Extract and analyze current and historical quality data using Ford quality databases (JD Powers, NPS, Datacubes) to identify design, process, supplier quality, and product content opportunities to improve quality for our forward model programs.+ Develop and maintain Interior functional quality metric road maps for North America led vehicle programs that demonstrate a plan to meet program targets.+ Deliver Interior Quality Framework assessments at early milestones to ensure timely program budgeting decisions.+ Work with Studio & DTO to ensure customer needs & satisfaction are met utilizing customer data sources such as NPS & JD Power IQS/VDS/APPEAL.+ Support Program AAF’s, VPAT’s, CPE DFs, and PEHF PAT’s.+ Review Studio Interior Surfaces to ensure CTQ requirements are being met using Teamcenter & TCVis Mockup.+ Drive program compliance on Interior CTQ requirements and other HIR’s using an Interior Systems background / knowledge and leveraging engineering SME’s.+ Assess quality impact for MCE/FCE issues for launching programs, as well as TVM proposals.+ Work with Program Quality to be voice of function and functional delivery.+ Participate in external & internal customer clinics by understanding customer concerns and then communicate them to the appropriate teams to drive actionable improvements into forward model programs.+ Develop Deep Dives / Projects, foreseeing future technology / market trends based on benchmarking and social media / web forums research to ensure designs will satisfy future customer needs, as well as to defend quality positions and confirm and develop BIC performance standards.+ Close the quality feedback loop between current model issues and forward model planning.+ Assist in problem solving efforts, as requested, for any developmental failures and/or launch issues.+ Work with Forward Model FMA Team and functions on FMA plans.+ Conduct random audits throughout the PD GPDS process to assess deliverable completion, identify organizational opportunities and work with PD to implement PRAs (learning organization)**You'll have...**+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar/related technical degree+ 3+ years of auto industry experience+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills+ Experience in the Studio & familiarity with the Studio process+ Passionate about improving product quality & proactive work ethic with positive attitude is key+ Willingness to occasionally travel to customer clinics and assembly plants+ In-depth knowledge of quality on control principles, methods, and tools+ Familiarity with Ford Quality Systems: FMA, G8D, DMAIC, etc.+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools+ Able to communicate and present Quality data in an informative and persuasive approach, as well as and interact well with cross-functional teams (engineering, plants, studio, program, FCSD, marketing, STA, etc.)**Even better, you may have...**+ 5-10 years of experience in an engineering discipline preferred+ Body D&R experience desired+ GPDS knowledge is preferredYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
