Our client, a plus size women's brand, is looking for an Assistant Technical Designer to join their team for a 3 month contract! Please note, this role will be 100% onsite.Pay: $18/hrResponsibilities:Measure and prep garments, review construction, attend fit sessions and prepare fit session notesOrganize block/fit database and fit samplesLog samples into fit log and working with Product Development to track samplesReview apparel construction and quality standards of samplesReview grade and tolerance standardsAssist with vendors/factories communicationCoordinate, compile and distribute wear tests and resultsProvide daily support for the technical design team as neededRequired Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor's degree in a apparel design or a related fieldPrevious technical design experience is desirablePrevious retail or garment manufacturing experience is desirableStrong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, Word, and Excel.Basic understanding of fit, balance, and garment construction, fabrics, and fabric performanceAbility to meet deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressureAbility to build strong business partnerships both internally and externallyCommunicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with all levels of managementStrong analytical skills, well organized and detailedRegularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds.
