DescriptionThe IEEE Power & Energy (PES) is currently seeking a Marketing Campaigns Communications Specialist to fully manage the development and execution of the society’s key communications plans, concentrating on email campaigns and written content creation.This position will be focused on the strategic development and implementation of the society’s key communication and email plans, including recurring, ad-hoc, nurture, and drip campaigns to drive audience engagement. The incumbent will work closely with the PES marketing team, internal PES groups, and applicable IEEE entities to ensure the accuracy of content updates on applicable platforms for the development of relevant communications, correct usage of audience segmentation data, and PES brand utilization. This position will also draft key society announcements, including press releases, profile interviews, etc., as needed.The ideal candidate will be a curious self-starter with 3 - 5 years of concentrated email campaign experience and copywriting experience. Key attributes include strong copywriting, data analysis/reporting, creative aesthetic eye, and content graphic creation skills. Experience in building and executing campaigns in an email program such as Active Campaign, HubSpot, or similar is required. A strong work ethic with impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills, and pride in the projects delivered is imperative.The role reports to the Senior Marketing Project Manager with no direct reports. This position works under General GuidelinesSpecific duties include, but are not limited to the following.Campaign Design and Execution (50%):

Assist in the creation of email campaigns and newsletters in Active Campaign targeting current and prospective members, to drive member engagement and promote IEEE PES membership, events, and applicable products.Create and manage email templates, ensuring consistency in copy and design elements for each audience.Build and maintain end-to-end campaigns to support programs such as multi-channel campaigns, lead generation, and lead nurture programs.In conjunction with the PES Senior Project Marketing Manager Manager, analyze reports and make recommendations for improvement utilizing A/B testing.

Content Creation and Management (30%):

Assist in written content creation for PES marketing efforts.Actively search out articles, webinars, and other offerings around IEEE for cross-promotion.Assist in digital asset creation for the above, as needed for email campaigns.

Marketing Project Support (20%):

Other projects as needed may involve content development, graphic creation, reporting, and presentation creation, to support the needs of the PES marketing team.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

Required 3 - 5 years of concentrated email campaign experience and copywriting experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, other related business field

Key attributes include strong copywriting, data analysis/reporting, creative aesthetic eye, and content graphic creation skills.Experience in building and executing campaigns in an email program such as Active Campaign, HubSpot, or similar is required.A strong work ethic with impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills, and pride in the projects delivered is imperative.The ideal candidate for this position is proactive and able to work well both independently and within a team in a continually changing environment. Critical skills include strong prioritization and analysis skills combined with creative problem-solving and data-driven decision-makingMicrosoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Knowledge of HTML is a plus.
