Job Summary: The Marketing and Media Specialist designs and creates marketing and communications material to enhance the company's image and promote its brand with an emphasis on employee recruiting and retention. This full-time non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

Essential Functions: *Apply and implement corporate social media strategy, enhancing company image and brand in various communities with a focus on employee recruitment and retention. *Visit worksites to obtain marketing materials, including, but not limited to, photos, video, or insight for use in retention and other initiatives. *Design, prepare, and broadcast communications across a variety of platforms, including print, electronic, digital, social media, videos, etc. *Coordinate communications needs among various internal departments, such as HR, sales/estimating, safety, etc., to produce a variety of materials, including, but not limited to, brochures, booklets, postcards, mailers, billboards, banners, presentations, etc., *Provide input and materials for company events, such as Redbook, Golf Outing, picnic, career fairs, etc. Attend same as required. *Provide input on content of and materials for company internet site. *Communicate in a professional, but unique voice for the organization, directly aligning with the culture and goals. *Ensure content and format of company websites are updated, effective, and contemporary, including, but not limited to, company internet site, social media sites, etc. Monitor for any positive or negative feedback and follow up as needed. *Participate in planning and provide materials for quarterly newsletter. *Communicate social media data (e.g., followers, posts, forwards, shares, likes, impressions, feedback, complaints, etc.) to company leadership as appropriate. Promote social media internally by educating staff on social media technologies and campaigns. * Ensure company brand standards are met, along with industry editorial and style guidelines. *Travel as required. * Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment. * Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. * Occasionally work more than 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Knowledge: *Knowledge of AP style and SEO preferred *Advanced knowledge social media venues, marketing strategies and activities. *Advanced understanding of web technology and how it supports marketing. *Strong marketing foundational knowledge.

Ability to: *Portray an effective social media presence. *Work independently and be organized. *Produce a work product that requires little modification. *Navigate numbers and formulas quickly when required. * Distinguish confidential and/or personal information and prevent unauthorized disclosures. Qualifications *Impeccable attention to detail. *Exceptional business writing skills and can visualize as well as convey a message into relevant and interesting content. *Skills in using and navigating social media networks' native web apps, 3rd party social media tools, and "the internet" to run it all with a willingness to expand skillset. *Demonstrated capabilities with desktop publishing, including, but not limited to, editing digital images, designing page layouts, and using electronic publishing software.

Education: *Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related business communications field.

Experience: *Two (2) or more years of social media and/or marketing experience *Samples/portfolio of prior work. *Experience in construction industry preferred. Required and Preferred Training *Cyber Training
