Job Summary

The Marketing and Public Relations Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time graphic designer. This position will assist the marketing department in promoting and maintaining a consistent brand image and voice in all visual media areas, including photography and video. The department is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who is excited to work on deliverables that will increase enrollment and retention.

Job Duties:

Other duties include but are not limited to:• Working with communications specialist to create content for social media, marketing materials, websites, and other visual formats as needed.• Attend college events as a photographer.• Process and edit all photography. Organize, catalog, and tag on photos on SharePoint and the Jefferson Flickr.• Create print-ready and web-ready files from existing designs and new creative concepts.• Prepares drafts of materials based on the assigned job.• Prepares, edits and supplies files, graphics, and other content needed for unit or institutional multimedia materials.• Updates and maintains archive and graphic libraries for use by Jefferson Marketing and all other college eymployees.• Develop procedures, processes, schedules, and deadlines, so that graphic design projects are produced in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner with high-quality results.• Oversee the Xerox Printing Center marketing materials and other vendors who produce materials for Jefferson.• Develop branded templates by which colleagues with little or no experience are able to produce high-quality printed materials that are instantly recognizable as part of Jefferson.• Provide graphic design support and leadership to all college marketing personnel.• Assists Jefferson college community with the application of brand guidelines throughout communications.

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelors in graphic design, marketing, corporate communications, public relations or related field, design school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Minimum of two years of graphic design experience• High Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)• Proficiency Microsoft Office programs• Competency in photography shooting, composition, and editing• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete by target dates while working within the parameters of the brand style guide and maintaining attention to detail and consistency.• Online portfolio and/or provide samples of graphic design work

Preferred Qualifications:• Knowledge of video production and editing a plus• Working knowledge of HTML for websites, email, and design best practices• Ability and eagerness to be open to learn new skills• Strong oral and written communication skills• Creative problem-solving skills
