The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director, Marketing – Affiliates & Aggregators, for the Insurance Marketing team.

This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

The Insurance Marketing team is a key growth engine for USAA, with a laser focus on our mission to serve the military community and their families. The team is passionate about driving growth across the portfolio of products, with a primary focus on our core Insurance products Auto, Home, Renters and Life Insurance. Our team of Marketing experts is focused on understanding the needs of current USAA members and prospective eligible members to drive conversion of USAA products. Our marketing campaigns reflect our brand personality, our mission to serve those who serve, and the value of our products and services.

As the Director of Affiliate & Aggregator Marketing, you will lead a team and drive growth for the organization by buying, measuring, and optimizing the channel partners and testing new opportunities to scale. Your experience with bid strategies, targeting criteria, media analytics, landing page experience, and relationship building will help you to be successful, and your comfort with data will allow you to clearly report on results.

What you'll do:

You will report to the AVP, Marketing Channel Management and work closely with external partners and internal teams including Analytics, Product Marketing, MarTech,

Responsible for building and managing a high performing team of in-house marketing channel experts, including individual development, performance management, training, development, and coaching.

Present and communicate media strategies, plans and executions to executive partners and stakeholders across the enterprise.

Align with paid and owned marketing peer leaders on multi-channel media strategies, working with a broad spectrum of media to ensure marketing strategies are integrated.

Lead team to translate and interpret business intelligence and internal client objectives to guide teams and partners and enable them to develop media strategies that support business objectives.

Audit and optimize existing Affiliate & Aggregator relationships for Cost Per Acquisition efficiency, Customer Lifetime Value, and Policy sales targets.

Grow relationships with successful channel partners and publishers.

Create a test and learn strategy for new partner opportunities and optimizations.

Work directly in affiliate and aggregator platforms and with our affiliate agency to manage campaigns and pull data.

Collaborate with Audience and Product teams to determine the best opportunities to reach our audiences across networks for existing and go-to-market products.

Partner with the Creative team on creative needs including logos and landing pages.

Apply an expert understanding of analytics and measurement tools/techniques to provide media strategy support to brand and product line marketing management.

Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

8 or more years of progressive related experience in a digital marketing or advertising function.

3 years of direct team lead or management experience required.

Familiarity with the insurance industry and Affiliate and Aggregator platforms such as Impact, CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction), MediaAlpha, and Quinstreet.

Extensive experience with launching, optimizing, and maintaining Affiliate & Aggregator relationships and performance campaigns, including in-platform experience.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Comfortability with data, metrics, analytics, and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a comprehensive paid media plan, including internal team and external media agency oversight.

Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals required.

Expert-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends.

Understanding of specific laws and rules that govern consumer products.

What we offer:

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $120,550 - $230,400

.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
