Job Title: Mechanical DesignerLocation: Elk Grove Village, ILHours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pmRate: 60k - 70k
JOB SUMMARY:The Mechanical Designer will design and create machine and machine component models using Inventor and AutoCAD.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesigns and models mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods utilizing 3D CAD software.Produces working drawings from models for manufacturing departments.Creates material lists related to machine and component designs.Modifies and revises designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plusExperience with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft OfficeStrong numerical and mathematics skillset
