This role, as a key member of the senior leadership team, will play a crucial part in shaping our objectives, programs, and policies related to public communications and marketing. The successful candidate will lead the Marketing and Communications department and align its strategy with the cooperative's overarching goals, making a significant impact on our mission.We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent credits in business administration, management, marketing, sales, or related studies.Ten years of successful management, leadership, and/or supervisory experience or equivalent education and experience.Understanding of cooperative philosophy, accounting, finance, transmission, distribution, electric controls and technologies, survey analysis, advertising, communications, sales management, and marketing.Understanding of the electric utility industry is highly preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Providing organizational leadership and direction to SSVEC's Marketing and Communications Staff.Creating and executing innovative marketing and public relations strategies in alignment with the cooperative's goals.Actively supporting SSVEC's Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Goals.Acting as a spokesman for SSVEC, cultivating good working relationships.Working with local, state, and federal elected officials and their staff.Acting as a liaison to the senior leaders on Fort Huachuca.Developing and coordinating energy and safety-related programs beneficial to the cooperative and its members.Supervising the development, implementation, and reporting of Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) programs.All offers of employment are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen, criminal and driving background checks, and employment reference checks.
