***This role will be hybrid in Hoffman Estates, IL***The Associate Creative Director is a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail. In this role, the candidate will serve as a key partner in driving creative excellence and innovation across our brand creative. The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, creative oversight, and leadership skills to inspire and guide our talented team of designers.Main ResponsibilitiesCollaborative Partnership: Work closely with Creative leadership to develop and execute creative strategies and concepts that align with Claire’s brand vision and goals. Act as a partner in all aspects of creative thinking and execution.Creative Oversight: Provide direction and mentorship to the design team, ensuring high-quality output that meets brand standards and project objectives. Oversee all phases of the design, and partner with creative leadership on all creative projects from concept to completion.Innovative Thinking: Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team. Encourage fresh ideas and new approaches to design challenges.Project Agility: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated creative solutions.Brand Consistency: Maintain and enhance the integrity of the Claire’s brand visual identity across all touchpoints. Ensure all creative work is aligned with brand guidelines and business goals.Team Development: Support the professional growth and development of the design team. Provide constructive feedback, facilitate training opportunities, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.Agency Interaction: Engage with external partners at times to present and discuss creative concepts. Build strong relationships and agency partner collaboration.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within the retail or fashion industry.5-7 years of relevant art direction and graphic design experienceSolid understanding of design principles including typography and color theoryStrong oral and written communication skillsProven track record of successful project management and team leadership.Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work and innovative design solutions.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to think strategically and execute creatively.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools.Strong understanding of current design trends and best practicesClaire's is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and we encourage applications from members of all underrepresented groups, including those with disabilities.
