The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a
VP of Marketing
for our Workplace Solutions (WPS) business lines. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to achieve key business objectives and lead the strategic planning, direction, and evaluation of marketing programs & plans that drive market awareness of Lincoln’s products and services for our Group Protection and Retirement Plan products.
What you'll be doing
Partnering & advising executive management & key senior business leaders on strategic new marketing approaches to enhance & maintain competitive positioning.
Overseeing & leading the creation of complex communications & marketing collateral that support consistent enterprise core messaging & business goals.
Ensuring all marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant & consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, optimizing market awareness of Lincoln’s products & services.
Building relationships & partnering with executive management to determine strategic marketing business goals & ensure alignment with business objectives.
Establishing, developing, & providing performance metrics and benchmarks to track & assess marketing program effectiveness.
Ensuring compliance of all marketing collateral with applicable regulatory requirements and Lincoln editorial and branding standards.
Maintaining knowledge on current and emerging trends, assessing impact, and collaborating with management to incorporate new trends into strategies.
Providing training and development opportunities for team members and giving honest feedback to aid in talent development.
Leading complex digital marketing projects from inception to execution, including project planning and resource management.
Identifying & recommending opportunities to leverage technology to enhance marketing processes.
Establishing and maintaining a standardized workflow for evaluating new marketing technology solutions.
What we’re looking for
12+ years’ experience in marketing directly aligned with the responsibilities for this position.
5+ years of management experience, strategy, and influencing senior management.
4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience in financial services marketing, preferably Group protection and/or retirement products.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence at all management levels.
Demonstrated ability to hire, retain, develop, and coach staff effectively.
Strong relationship management skills with internal clients.
Effective advocacy and command of attention in group settings.
