A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.**Job Summary:**We're seeking a Credit Vice President who will be part of our growing Portfolio Management Group. You will focus on underwriting and portfolio management for clients in the Technology, Media, Telecom & Sports (TMTS) industry vertical for non-investment grade public and privately owned corporate borrowers.As a Vice President, you will be responsible for active credit management of a designated portfolio utilizing solid credit and analytical skills, providing continuous oversight of portfolio names, monitoring for potential risk and regulatory rating changes and proactively identifying credit deterioration with the goal of maximizing net income and reducing credit costs.Active portfolio management of designated customers:+ Responsible for the management of a loan portfolio.+ Perform due diligence and regularly scheduled reviews of assigned loan portfolio, including covenants compliance.+ Analyze credit risk of the designated portfolio, determine accurate ratings and make recommendations of accurate and timely ratings to management.+ Prepare detailed credit analysis and credit applications, evaluate the borrower’s industry/business/legal/financial risks and recommend extensions of credit to management.+ Coordinate and communicate critical account information independently and directly to various related parties throughout the bank, business line, product groups and credit divisions.+ Review loan documentation for newly assigned accounts in advance of closing to make sure that time frame for funding notices is acceptable and that Borrower and IE certificates contain appropriate representations.+ Responsible for building and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the Technology, Media, Telecom & Sports (TMTS) industry vertical and all current events utilizing internal and external sources.+ Maintain direct communication with assigned customers.+ Evaluate proposed contents of deliverable reports to make sure that information is sufficiently complete.+ Perform related duties and participate in special projects as assignedDeal Support:+ Work with business lines/product groups to identify prospective transactions.+ Identify and mitigate structural risks in prospective transactions and recommend/enhance structuring of deals and covenant in line with policies and procedures.+ Advise account officers on credit risk issues/terms and conditions to create the best possible deal with a goal of maximizing profit and minimizing credit cost.+ Directly and independently communicate with credit division and ensure it is provided with all related information/analysis pertinent to making a decision with little support from management.Policy and Compliance:+ Ensure compliance with external regulatory/internal policy and procedural requirements.+ Influence improvement of internal process by participating in committees, project teams, or transaction discussions to enhance organization wide credit risk frameworkSupport and mentor junior analysts:+ Train and support junior analysts on OJT basis as assigned by MD or D/Team Leader.+ Guide junior analysts in completing complex assignments.+ Study, develop and enhance analytical skills of the team through close communication.**Skills & Experience:**+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial institutions or equivalent in credit and risk related functions analyzing corporate customers.+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in analyzing and conducting due diligence on large corporations with revenues over $1 billion+ Proven track record of developing strong working relationships with customers' senior management.+ In depth knowledge of general corporate credit analysis, credit and risk management+ Ability to build complex financial models to assess the clients' repayment ability.+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in analyzing/supporting and understanding structure risks in investment banking products including asset-based lending (securitization, leasing) and trade finance.+ Experience in underwriting M&A financings, and ability in conducting merger and valuation analysis.+ In-depth knowledge of loan documentation and structural risks in corporate finance.+ Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.+ BA required; CFA or MBA preferred.The typical base pay range for this role is between $170K - $195K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
