Description

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue, building customer relationships as well as leading and managing the sales team. This individual will report directly to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.• Identify new business opportunities and market trends to maximize revenue.

Team Leadership and Development• Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, providing ongoing coaching and support.• Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed targets.

Client Relationship Management• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners.• Conduct regular client visits and participate in networking events to promote the hotel portfolio.

Sales Performance and Reporting• Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Regional Director of Sales.• Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration• Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support of sales initiatives.• Participate in the development of promotional materials and campaigns.

Market Analysis and Research• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.• Stay informed about competitor activities and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.• Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.• Strong leadership and team management skills.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software from multiple brands is preferred.
