Role Summary:

Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, the Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for the administration of key vendor partner programs, sales promotions, as well as the planning, execution, and follow-up of varied B2B customer events and tradeshows (in-person and virtual). Working in partnership with sales and marketing stakeholders, the Marketing Operations Specialist will develop and execute the events calendar, creating cost-effective and memorable events for our customers to drive business outcomes. The Marketing Operations Specialist also administers the key program and promotions calendar, ensuring milestone events/meetings are scheduled, and completes kick-offs, presentations, and follow-up reports supporting the programs.

Exciting work you will do:

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Operations Specialist will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Event Coordination and OrganizationCollaborate with the sales teams and field marketing strategists regarding events including goals, timelines, creative deliverables event logistics, post-event reporting, and budget reconciliationConduct post-event debriefings to measure and report on results against defined metrics; create high value-added analytics by manipulating different data sourcesCollaborate with field marketing strategists to craft and send invoices and invitations for our formal marketing/vendor programsCollaborate with field marketing strategists to coordinate events, schedule dates and planning sessions for our formal marketing/vendor programsIdentify problems and inefficiencies in current processes and workflows and develop processes and templates to streamline logistics and reportingDevelop processes and strategies to functionally improve day-to-day processes, bring new ideas and concepts that will help streamline / add self-serve elements to events/programsEvaluate and negotiate with potential vendors and venues, working with the legal team to draft compliant contracts and remain within budgetProvide ongoing communications of event details, logistics, goals, and status with sales team and internal stakeholders before, during and after eventsEnsure all events are executed to a high caliber and supported with timely delivery of appropriate branded materials, collateral, promotional items, etc.Manage events via project management platform to ensure visibility across marketing membersCollaborate with field marketing strategists and marketing support to coordinate and request funding as neededDocument processes and create templates to create more self-serve options for the fieldSales Promotions

Collaborate with the field marketing strategists and comms team to coordinate counter day events and sales promotions for field with formal and informal marketing/vendors including goals, timelines, creative deliverables, post-promo reporting, and budget reconciliationProvide ongoing communications of promotion details, goals and ensure field has what they need to succeedDefine/redefine effective metrics to measure the impact of promotions; measure and report on sales results of promotions to determine successIdentify ways to improve communication to the field regarding promotions and develop processes and templates to streamline and simplifyManage promotions via project management platform to ensure visibility across marketing membersCollaborate with field marketing strategists and marketing support to coordinate and request funding as neededRegularly organize all event materials and collateral and ensure we have accurate and presentable inventory and replace as neededPerform other duties and projects as assignedCompetencies you possess:

Work Experience:

3 years' of experience in large, corporate-scale, event management, including relationship -building, tradeshow and open house events; strong experience in project management and contract negotiation; understanding of B2B marketing and event execution best practicesEducation:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations or other relevant degree or equivalent experienceAnalytics/Computer/Software Skills:

Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to track expenses to budget for events and aggregate data and report holistically on the event success, pulling information from multiple sourcesOrganizational Skills:

Highly organized and detail-oriented; critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlinesCross-functional Skills:

Ability to work well cross-functionally and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization; strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationshipsInterpersonal Skills:

Work Experience:

5 years' of experience in large, corporate-scale, event management, including relationship -building, tradeshow and open house events; background in electrical or industrial wholesale distributionSoftware/Computer Skills:

Experience working in HubSpot Marketing Automation and working knowledge of event platforms
