The Communication Program Manager will be responsible for working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Trust Services (OTS) to conceptualize and produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including reports to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of the Interior, Congress, or the White House, internal and external communications, social media, websites, and marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with program managers, project managers, Tribes and Alaska Native Villages and internal Indian Affairs teams to understand the various objectives of the projects and develop creative solutions to showcase project success while ensuring to highlight performance metrics and key reporting requirements for each assigned project.Manage a team to design and produce digital and print media, including but not limited to infographics, Story maps, articles, reports, and digital content.Provide regular updates of digital content to ensure current information and visuals are reflective of BIA's ongoing activities.Collaborate with BIA programs, BIL and IRA coordinators, Project Managers, Tribes and Alaska Native Villages, and Tribal members to conceptualize, develop and implement visual aspects and written updates to showcase BIAs progress, project status and successes, and community impacts.Manage a team to write scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs that effectively communicate key messages and engage the target audience.Oversee videographers, capturing high-quality footage and audio for projects ranging from promotional videos to short documentaries.Oversee animation techniques to enhance storytelling and create visually compelling narratives.Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in visual storytelling, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our creative output.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.Collaborate with other creative professionals, including an in-house video team, and graphic designers, to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns.Provide written monthly updates on activities and schedule of onsite project visits.Maintain updated information and performance requirements on assigned projects to provide for time limited data requests, to support testimony, or other.Provide quarterly project highlights for each assigned project featuring visual data representations of BIA's progress.Manage multimedia content, including photography, video production, and editing.Manage the production process from pre-production planning to post-production editing, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.Implement and maintain OTS photo and video archives with a directory.

Job Requirements

Experience managing projects with videography and other communications content.Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and at least 4 years of experience.
