Summary

The Marketing Manager owns the downstream marketing strategy and campaign planning for specific CIVCO product lines. The Marketing Manager will work closely with our product management and marketing teams to design, implement, measure, and iterate on customer lifecycle strategies that drive brand and product awareness, lead generation and customer retention. A strategic, customer-centric mindset is essential to building effective omnichannel marketing plans to connect with our various key segments throughout their buyer journeys, such as Cardiology, Anesthesia, Vascular Access, Radiology, Urology, OB/GYN, Sterile Processing and Infection Prevention.

The Marketing Manager must be a collaborative strategic leader, working with Marketing Communications, Clinical Marketing, Product Management, and Sales teams to develop, communicate and drive the execution of marketing plans. Uses customer insights and campaign performance data to make decisions and improve program effectiveness.

The Marketing Communications team is a key component in CIVCO’s continued growth and success; this is an extremely critical role in representing the voice of CIVCO to our customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

Own omnichannel product marketing program strategies based on customer lifecycle data and insights, driving brand and product awareness, lead generation, and re-purchase. Focus on both inbound marketing and account-based marketing (ABM) campaign strategies.

Collaborate with several internal stakeholders from Marketing Communications, Clinical Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to develop and deliver on shared product marketing strategies.

D rive execution of product marketing plans with Marketing Operations team, Clinical Marketing team, and external partners and agencies, including Events Marketing, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Website Development, Advertising/PR, and Graphic Design.

Collaborate with Product Management in the launch plans of new products, setting overall product line marketing strategies, driving customer listening, and aligning on key product messaging.

Work closely with Sales to execute product sales campaigns, new sales materials, co-marketing opportunities, as well as provide product marketing tools to global distributors and ultrasound manufacturer partners.

Responsible for product messaging and communications, including but not limited to the website and sales resources. Works with contractors, agencies, and internal team to complete.

Serve as product marketing and customer segments expert, communicating lifecycle marketing strategies internally and pursuing constant alignment on marketing plans and messaging.

Monitor and report on the performance of marketing programs and derive insights that inform strategies to improve campaigns and enhance customer journeys.

Provide input to annual and monthly program budgets. Execute plans within budget while optimizing ROI of programs.

Own product photography, videography, and design strategies, working with external partners and internal team members to execute projects.

Competency in marketing automation tool (Hubspot) and CRM (Salesforce.com), as well as website content management system.

Occasionally travel to and staff CIVCO events, interacting with customers and industry associations and supporting product promotion strategies.

Education/Experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in marketing, communications, or business and 4 years of experience, with at least 3 years in marketing strategy or management required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

Proven success as a collaborative team member within a cross-functional marketing and sales organization

Strategic and analytical thinker, capable of making recommendations and data-driven decisions based on market trends, sales performance and market dynamics.

Must be professional in demeanor and communication and have outstanding “people skills”

Excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills, performing effective demonstrations for varied audiences

Strong organization skills and detail-oriented

Must be able to interact in dynamic, fast paced environments and make quick and effective decisions

Ability to work issues independently to root cause

Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required

Software experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms desired

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products desired

Ability to travel 10% of the time

Working knowledge of major uses of ultrasound including: radiology, vascular access, anesthesia, men’s and women’s health, infection control, sterile processing, surgery and cardiology considered a plus.

Regular predictable attendance is required for the ability to provide on-site support for other associates. Position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement (based in Coralville, IA with some work-from-home flexibility)

Requires regular face-to-face interaction, which includes coordination of work and providing support to team members and other employees at the Coralville or Kalona locations
