Food For The Poor, one of the nation's largest international relief and development organizations, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor primarily in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance.

Overall Responsibility:

Food for The Poor, an international relief and development nonprofit organization, is seeking a talented and passionate print Graphic Designer to join our team and create visually stunning and impactful designs for various print materials. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from concept to completion, ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the organization, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. A considerable understanding of branding and marketing is needed and must be able to follow visual and copy guidelines. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing and fundraising teams to produce high-quality materials that engage our donors and supporters.

The role is to be hired in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Duties:Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet fundraising goals.Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the organization or client appropriately.Work independently as well as in collaboration with production, creative, and marketing teams to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects.Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.Transform strategic direction into high-quality designs that align with the established brand identity.Develop concepts manually or with software, crafting original content by determining the optimal use of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.Oversee the design and uploading process for all project materials, adhering to best practices for content management systems.Utilize trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets to design and execute specific classifications effectively.Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field.3-5 years of experience in print graphic design role in a fast-paced environment. Publishing or advertising experience is a plus.Must be able to work with a creative brief.Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and creativity .Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) required.Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.3 years of experience using design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Must have experience with print photography best practices including expert use of Photoshop.Skills:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to think outside the box and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality in a fast-moving environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite.A genuine passion for serving the poor is highly desirable.Proactive and self-motivated.
