Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications, the Communications Manager is a visual communicator with an eye for social media success and experience in external communications. A vital member of the corporate communications team, this is an opportunity to help build a communications program from the ground-up.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

Expand, influence, and govern OBE’s social media strategy and presence, including:

Cultivate and strengthen the presence of select executives on LinkedIn with an eye toward positioning them as leaders in the industry and across the business landscape.Position OBE as an employer of choice in the building products industry by partnering on and promoting the company’s employer brand strategy, awards and recognitions, etc.Partner with Marketing teams to organize a mix of product-focused content with storytelling opportunities that promote the brand.Cultivate and share positive news/company stories on external channels, including social media platforms, and with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers.Expand and execute OBE’s crisis communications plans aimed at readying the company in the event of unintended circumstances and protecting the brand.Aid in the management of media inquiries.Establish KPI’s and measure effectiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, HR, and Talent Acquisition to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in social media engagement and monitoring, media relations, PR, crisis communications, and talent and employer branding.Continuously follow industry events, publications, and influencers to position the company as the industry leader.Here’s What We’re Looking For:

The ability to work from our Dallas office an average of three times per week5-8 years’ experience creating and managing exciting, innovative multi-media content across social media platforms for various brands, sub-brands, and executive accounts.Proven experience creating and executing external communications: media pitching/earned media, product launches and press releases.Experience in the Architecture, Interior Design, Construction or Building Materials industry is a plus.What OBE Offers You
