PURPOSEThe Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the global strategic marketing activities related to their assigned probe card products, works with the account teams for assigned accounts and provides marketing leadership to the product groups. This position regularly interacts with senior management and executives, and provides the overall product positioning, product strategy and direction, and communications objectives for the assigned products. The Manager will understand our customers' test challenges and will work closely with customers to define solutions to these challenges using FormFactor products and technology. The Manager also sets market requirements, manages product roadmaps, project priorities and trade-offs as necessary, and resources allocation for those assigned products. The Manager also works with the account teams for their assigned customers to maximize profit and market share. This includes updating competitive situations and threats, communicating customer's requirements and providing input to the account strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDefine product strategy and roadmap.Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market gaps.Create and publish Market Requirements Documents that clearly defines customer's needs and features/specs that differentiate FFI products along with the financial and market impact of new products/applications.Identify strategic vectors of differentiation for products through competitive and market research.Develop business cases to support market and business development.Define Value Propositions to support the competitive positioning of the products and solutions in the market.Define value pricing propositions that support high margin contribution for the Company's products in the market.Develop target and key account positioning strategies in support of sales activities.Develop and articulate fact-based and current competitive intelligence that includes product and financial positioning vis-a-vis critical extant and emergent competition.Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) inclusive of beta testing, sales training, creating sales and product collateral, and insuring the go-to-market success of new product launches.Articulate objectives to insure product and organizational success.Participate in strategic planning activities to include articulation of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.Train the sales/account teams regularly such that the knowledge of the market and FFI products & solutions are transferred to the teams as part of NPI.Cross-functional engagement with sales, applications engineering, NPI engineering, R&D, manufacturing, finance and corporate communications as part of NPI.Interface with customer to define device testing requirements that drives product roadmaps for long-term revenue growth.Use negotiation skills to close gaps between customer requirements and factory capabilitiesPrepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other technical degree, Master's degree preferred.8+ years experience in applications, marketing, product development, or general management that involved leading and mentoring others.5+ years experience in a customer facing role in the semiconductor industry. Must have solid knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing and test process.5+ years experience in an engineering technical role within the semiconductor experienceMust be able to demonstrate strong technical understanding and experience in high-speed digital or RF applications and theory.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through technical engagements.Need to be comfortable speaking to a group and engaging in problem solving dialogue with occasionally distressed customers or partners.Must have the ability to travel for business as much as 50% of the time both domestically and internationally to customer sites, subsidiary offices, and appropriate sales or marketing events.

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $163,400 and $214,410. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
