For years the Bepko Internship Program has been upholding Chancellor Bepko's commitment to diversity within IT. The program targets applications from Indiana University student populations that are traditionally under-represented in information technology professions and places them in high quality internships where they are mentored by top professionals and gain first-hand experience in their field. Interns are compensated competitively and have the ability to work flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.
Job Summary
This internship will allow the student to work with a diverse team of experienced professionals who help researchers at IU use supercomputers and other high-performance computing systems. The specific project opportunities will depend on the student's strengths, skills, interests, and career goals; however, the goal of the team is to develop web applications that help researchers use high-performance computers. Some examples of how a student might contribute are: design, use case development, user surveys, usability testing, front-end development (e.g., HTML, Javascript, TypeScript, or WASM), API specification and/or development. The student will work closely within a small diverse team of developers and technologists who will provide excellent mentoring and support.

EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
Required
- Experience with and interest in user experience and usability.
- Experience with any of the technologies mentioned above.
- Experience designing, testing, developing, and/or implementing web applications.
Required
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Natural curiosity, interest in growing, and developing marketable skills.
