The Business and Communications Manager ensures that the MLP complies with and accurately fulfills all applicable municipal electric utility and human resource regulatory obligations and requirements (e.g., electric rate filings and annual reports, personnel and payroll reporting) and directs the management team responsible for delivering exemplary service to MLP customers. Further, the Business and Communications Manager serves as one of the MLP’s key liaisons with the Municipal Light Board, public, other Town departments, and external stakeholders and is responsible for the development and execution of the MLP’s communications strategy. This position demonstrates and provides leadership in support of the MLP’s “commitment to excellence” and continuous improvement in all areas of the MLP’s operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Seven years or equivalent experience supervising customer service, administrative and/or accounting staff. Human resource and personnel policy development experience. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Experience working in the public or municipal utility or service industry is preferred. Proficiency in enterprise software systems.
