Social Media Specialist

to support a large federal law enforcement agency. This position is remote; however, it may require travel to our Rockville office and client site to attend meetings and conferences.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManages the government client social media presence, creates engaging copy and social media content for audience-based strategies.Develops digital communication products.Writes social media content highlighting government client announcements, reports, publications, press releases, website content, job postings and open press events, and integrates creative ways to connect the public with government client.Ability to analyze and interpret data and draw actionable insights to grow social platforms and increase audience engagement.Ability to write and edit copy to dynamically engage a variety of audiences.Stays informed on industry trends and innovations.Assists the digital media team with the planning, organization and scheduling of social media content.Assists government client's staff with researching and writing creative communication products, sometimes on complex and controversial subjects, for dissemination on government client's digital platforms.Assists with organizing and updating the digital media content calendar, commemorative event calendar and social media scheduling calendar.Minimum Experience:Five years of directly relevant work experience in social media.Must have strong understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices.Excellent storytelling and oral/written communication skills required.Requires strong organization skills to coordinate social media storytelling across government client and its programs.Minimum Education:Bachelor's degreeFull-Time/Part-Time: Full-TimeSalary Range:Position: Social Media SpecialistClose Date:Location: BETAHThis position is currently accepting applications.
