Our client, a semiconductor products manufacturer, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team for a one year+ W2 contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong team and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization. Position is onsite Monday through Friday in North Phoenix and benefits are included.
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: North Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $30.00-$38.00 Hourly
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research and design new products using SolidWorks CAD, including modeling, FEA validation, and drafting.
Apply knowledge of machines, materials, and engineering practices to complete product designs and select production materials.
Collaborate with production staff to develop and support manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet requirements and customer expectations.
Make informed decisions to optimize product cost, performance, and quality.
Requirements
High School Diploma or Associates degree
SolidWorks experience
Experience designing mechanical and electro-mechanical products
Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, tight tolerance components
Experience with documentation and PLM
