About The Role

Alert the sports enthusiasts! Call all athlete aficionados! Was your childhood filled with non-stop athletics? Did you not only play every sport, but also memorize the stats of all your favorite professional players? Did you send non-stop letters in the mail to superstar athletes inviting them to your 8th grade birthday party so you could impress your classroom crush?! Was Sporty Spice your favorite Spice Girl?!?!

If any of the above resonates, then you're in luck because goodr is on the hunt for a sporty leader to join the team as our newest Director of Sports Marketing & Partnerships. In this role, you'll get to flex your sports expertise by strategizing ways to make goodr stand out in the active eyewear industry. You'll represent the brand at activations, cultivate relationships with athletes, and analyze the performance of all our sport marketing.

Responsibilities

Planning, coordinating, and executing all athlete related branding and marketing activitiesDefine and implement marketing strategies for our defined sports, driving brand awareness and favorably positioning goodr in the active eyewear industryOversight of on-brand athlete, partnership, social and event initiatives specific to our defined sportsCollaborate closely and effectively liaising with other internal departments, such as Creative, Product, Sales, Media, Social, Events and PREnsuring all contractual obligations are met and executed by team membersManage budget for all sports initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective use of resourcesIdentify key trends and opportunities in the sports industry through research and analysisMonitor and analyze the performance of sports marketing campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for improvementAct as a brand ambassador for goodr, representing the company at activations and eventsLead and mentor a team of sports marketing professionalsContinuously evaluate and improve sports marketing and athlete partnership processes, ensuring continual growth and effectivenessThis role is in the Sports Marketing & Partnerships team and will report directly to the Chief Marketing OfficerPerform other related duties as assigned

About The Ideal Candidate

May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)Loves everything aboveAsks a lot of questions6+ years of proven working experience in Sports MarketingPrevious experience leading sports marketing and/or partnerships teamStrong understanding of athlete management and partnershipsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skillsSkilled with budget managementStrong working knowledge of Asana is a BIG plusLoves the work more than a paycheckThinks planning and organizing are funLoves to create order out of chaosIs happy to give away credit to their teamLoves getting and giving feedbackIs into personal growthThinks Fun is being great (not partying)Is proactive and an independent problem solver!
