The primary purpose of the Senior Manager of Media Strategy role is to support the Senior Group Manager, Media Strategy with the overall development, management, and execution of HMA’s integrated media strategies, partnerships, and investments.This role will be responsible for driving the holistic media campaigns, determining the right strategies and tactics to increase awareness and consideration, ultimately generating demand, and driving conversion, while strengthening the Hyundai brand overall.The ideal candidate must have sharp strategic, operational, and innovative instincts across brand and performance media, a deep understanding of the automotive consumer and landscape, and the ability to align media initiatives with overarching marketing objectives that result in impactful business outcomes.This position will be responsible for leveraging data & insights, driving performance & efficacy across channels, and informing tactical planning & optimizations. The role will focus on managing media relationships with the agencies and external parties and ensuring media strategies are communicated with the broader HMA departments (Marketing, Communications, PR, HMNA, etc.) for cross-functional collaboration.Major Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with business objectives, market trends and consumer behaviors for a full-funnel approach.Monitor KPIs, synthesize data and leverage insights to create actionable plans, refinements and optimizations using data visualizations, brand metric reports, demand metric dashboards, media investment tools and/or third-party reports and tools.Establish and incorporate media best practices, create rigorous analytical processes and produce results-driven, cost-effective campaigns.Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Marketing/Communications (Brand, Social, CRM, H.com, Experiential) and across tiers (HDAA/Tier 2, Tier 3) to establish holistic marketing campaigns and ensure alignment of paid strategies, tactics, creative messaging, and cross-channel planning.Seek and evaluate strategic media opportunities, tools and technologies and serve as a thought-leader on innovative ways to reach and connect with the car buyers of today and tomorrow.Steward agency personnel (Innocean and Canvas) in support of media briefs, recommendations, and executions, including oversight and reconciliation of monthly spending reporting.Cultivate relationships with key media vendors, platforms, and technology providers, anticipate market changes and keep abreast of emerging trends to secure first-to-market opportunities and/or cutting-edge advertising solutions for HMA.Oversee media manager’s development, impact and career growth while modeling inclusive behaviors and maintaining positive team culture and working environment.Authority

The Senior Manager, Media Strategy position demands a high level of independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving across all aspects of the job to provide strategic direction to the agencies at Innocean and Canvas.The responsibility for this role is relatively high as the financial impact to HMA may be significant. The Senior Manager is expected to ensure proper approvals are secured.Education ~ Must be a high school graduate ~ Bachelor’s degree required.Related Experience

Eight or more years of experience in integrated media strategy or planning with at least three years of media-related agency and/or supplier management experience required.Automotive experience is required.Three or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.Prior experience in the management of automotive marketing data analytics preferred.Prior experience utilizing marketing and advertising technical tools used to measure and inform media investments preferred.Skills/Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of media upfronts, terminology and channels, including but not limited to linear, OTT/CTV, search, social, programmatic, audio, out-of-home, print.In-depth understanding of automotive retail environment.Excellent analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Excel in fast-paced, dynamic work environment with multiple projects and agency personnel and ability to learn & adapt quickly.Must work autonomously and make decisions independently.Clear, concise, compelling, and influential written and verbal communicator; knows how to reach a compromise when necessary.Effective project, time, personnel, and budget management skills.Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at variety of levels, executive, managerial, subordinate and agency hierarchy of personnel.Must be organized and detail oriented.Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Certification
