We believe it’s a privilege to be integral to their success.If you enjoy working in a fun environment with people passionate about startups, venture capital, and fintech, join our team and be part of something incredible!POSITION OVERVIEWWe are looking for a part-time (~20 hrs/week) Marketing & Community Associate who has a passion for startups, founders, and early-stage companies. This position will own, coordinate, and support all things related to our organic social media activities on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, our Community Slack channel, and other up-and-coming social platforms. This role will report directly to the Head of Growth Marketing but work closely with content planning, our community manager, and partner program manager to help craft and execute a strategy for how we grow awareness of Lighter Capital’s offerings.An ideal candidate will have a startup funding interest, a knack for storytelling, and experience using creative imaging in social channels. Activities will include developing a social media strategy, planning and posting calendar, growing followers, engaging with thought-leaders, and keeping followers updated on our brand’s and executive activities, which are essential (stay engaged with partners and portfolio companies). Additionally, you will work closely with existing Lighter Capital portfolio companies in our Community, developing a strategy to build engagement amongst our portfolio members across various Community activities and build rapport with clients in order to tell their funding stories to others on social channels.The salary for this position will be an hourly rate (negotiated at hire), and hours per week may fluctuate.We are a small but fun team looking for individuals who can work independently and collaborate on ideas. We like humor, hard work, honesty, accountability, and the desire to improve.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute an end-to-end social media strategy across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and SlackGrow followers and channels by engaging with potential prospects, partners, and client portfolio companiesCreate branded content and campaigns and manage the scheduling and posting of all social content to relevant social media channelsMonitor hashtags, trends, and industry/client news. Respond to social media comments and direct messages in a professional and timely mannerDesign graphics to support content and postingsDevelop and sustain content calendars, engagement and event calendars, and the flow of communications out to the Lighter Capital client CommunityAssist with managing our partner database, new perk partners, and partner engagementAssist with collecting and developing customer evidence from our portfolio companiesReport on analytics via metrics dashboard to marketing and executive teamsMaintain ownership, accuracy, and accountability on every project. Work on internal process documentation with other team membersEmbrace and exemplify company values and cultureStay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applicationsQUALIFICATIONSA passion for storytelling, fintech, startups, founders, and entrepreneurs. Interest in funding tech companiesWorking knowledge of social media platforms. Proven success in building social media audiences is a plusStrong spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing skillsExperience with social media management and willing to work with a variety of social media scheduling/tracking toolsExperience developing creative assets and video assetsSelf-starter, problem-solver, and desire to learn. Ability to work strategically and autonomously to meet deadlinesResilience and willingness to do the less glamorous tasks as well as the fun ones20 hours/week. Ability to work remotely with a flexible schedule.
