Whether through research and development, technology innovation or solution engineering, our people play vital roles in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow.**Job Duties and Responsibilities****Key Responsibilities:**+ Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and verifying the reliability for all compression systems across the Uplink facilities+ Expected to complete tasks with the department's overall goals and objectives in mind+ Ensures systems are available and redundant using available tools, must be able to troubleshoot systems in the event of any failures+ Must be able to create workflow documents and follow SOPs when presented with any and all tasks+ Works under limited supervision, and regularly drives tasks and communications with other work areas and departments+ May train new employees on SOPs and general department/role knowledge+ Core and Local Service Encoding+ 3rd Party Encoding & Video Handoff+ Software Download Spooling for STBs+ Emergency Restoral Support+ 3 Party Tier1 Support for multiple clients+ Channel Launch Operations across all lines of business.**Skills, Experience and Requirements****Education and Experience:**+ High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational education preferred+ 2-7+ years of progressively related experience**Skills and Qualifications:**+ Complete knowledge of signal flow, with a deep understanding of how compression relates to other departments and the larger uplink system+ Complete knowledge of department operational procedures, recommend procedural changes, and initiate and drive that change+ Performs work under supervision+ Instructions are typically detailed, and work is routine+ Assignments can be difficult in nature but involves limited responsibility+ Ability to lift 50 lbs., to install or remove from various rack locations from below knee level to above head+ Ability to work on and monitor any system, regardless of content matter+ 24x7 Team available to work all shifts**Salary Ranges**Compensation: $28.13/Hour - $30.29/Hour**Benefits**We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits .The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
